Dear Estée, THANKS A MILLION!

So it's been a year since Estée Lalonde threw her #THANKSAMILLION party and to this day I still catch myself smiling at the fact that I got to go and meet Estée in person. So for that I will be forever grateful because it's honestly one of the best nights I've ever had. But one thing is that I don't feel like I got to thank Estée properly for what she does and what she means to me, so here it goes...

Estée trying on my specs and most likely being blinded due to my blindness.

Dearest Estée,

Where to even begin? I suppose I should start with thank you. Thank you for everything. Thank you for doing what you do. Thank you for the sacrifices you've made by being an influencer (I'm not sure about that term but it's all could come up with.) Thank you for throwing that party. Thank you for inviting me and letting me bring a friend. Thank you for your grace, integrity and gratitude showed throughout the evening. But more importantly thank you for starting to blog and make videos in the first place. And a shoutout to Aslan for giving Estée the push to begin with. Words can do no justice to how much your online presence means to me. How much excitement I feel when a new video or post goes live. Or how much glee fills my soul when you interact with me on Twitter. Or how happy I am for you when great things happen to you. Like your book for example. I was absolutely beside myself when I learnt it was happening. But more on that later.

I have been so happy to see your transition into Estée Lalonde, a wonderful person I might add, and was so pleased to see you take ownership of embrace what it is it be you in the most shameless and unapologetic way. Thus often I wonder how different my life would have been if I never came across your channel. As dramatic as that sounds, you, without a shadow of a doubt, have enriched my life in so many ways. Your videos like My Health + Fitness JourneyFEMTALK: ON VIRGINITY + PERIODS, How to Find Your Personal Style & #DearMe to name a few have really spoken to me and continue to make me realise I'm not always alone in the way I'm feeling but more importantly they empower me. And that is what you do Estée, you empower and I'd like to thank you for that. You speak from the heart with such truth and wholeness that strike a chord and really resonate. To make someone feel so comfortable in their own skin the way you do is honestly incredible, you have made me feel alright with being me. And not just alright but proud and happy to be me. So for that I cannot thank you enough.

Now for the book. I am still bubbling with glee knowing that in 31 days I will have 'Bloom' a book written by Estée Lalonde in these hands of mine. I am still ecstatic for you Estée in terms of your success - like I am over the moon! I genuinely did a little happy dance/jig when I heard the news, although it probably looked like more I was wriggling, but I digress. I am looking forward to getting to know you on a different level, reading your thoughts and opinions and taking on your advice and suggestions. I know it will be a thing of beauty, I know it will be frank and candid but most of all I know it will be you, and that's what I can't wait for the most. I'm so excited for it's release that I'm somewhat sad I can't just delve into its depths now but I know it will be worth the wait.

So Estée, keep doing what you're doing because it is highly appreciated. And if a comment or blog/forum ever tries to drag you down, or makes you blue remember that there are lots of us viewers/supporters who love you dearly and support you. They were probably just jealous anyway. We don't expect anything other than yourself, whether that's you on a good day or a bad day - our love for you trumps hate every single time. I don't even think I got everything off my chest but basically I friggin' love you Estée, you do you boo!

Much much love,

                Margie xXx

Polaroids of Estée & me.

P.S. I still use most of the stuff from the #THANKSAMILLION gift bag. Those lip products give me life to this day. That NARS blush still has me glowing. I'm always sipping some kind of tea outta my mug, plus the tote never leaves my side. And the Workbench London ring I got to make will always be priceless to me.
